About Lyndon

Founded in 1780, the town of Lyndon is within Caledonia County and less then an hour away from the Canadian border. Within the 36 square mile town resides roughly, 5,500 residents (according to the 2000 census), as well as the students of Lyndon State College.

Lyndon is surrounded by beautiful scenery year-round. Everything from lush trails for biking and hiking to Burke Mountain, which is located 20 minutes north east of Lyndon can be visited. Also close by is Lake Willoughby located in the Willoughby State Forrest.

The town itself has several unique buildings including the Darling Hill Chapel, the private school Lyndon Institute, and the Cobleigh Public Library.
